Dr. John A. Fuller

As the Assistant Director of the Music Department at North Carolina State University, Dr. Jack Fuller oversees all organizational and administrative aspects of the Music Minor Music Department Scholarships and is in charge of departmental Outreach and Assessment. He also assists with the basketball pep bands and conducts the British Brass Band during the spring semester.  

He received his Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in 1987, his Master’s degree from Cleveland State University in 1992, and his PhD in Music Education from The Ohio State University in 1995. He currently holds an honorary membership in NC State’s Music Fraternity, Mu Beta Psi.  Jack is also a lifetime member in the National Honorary Band Fraternity Kappa Kappa Psi and holds professional memberships in Phi Kappa Phi, Pi Kappa Lambda, and The North American Brass Band Association.  

Jack has always been a believer in adult community bands.  In the 1980's and early 1990's, he played tuba with the Upper Arlington (Ohio) Civic Summer Band and the Medina (Ohio) Community Band.  He has also played with and conducted the Raleigh Concert Band.
